Hello everyone,

I've been struggling to install 1.4.1 on a Dec System 5240 via net/nfs,
but have given up (buggy PROM KNO 5.1b).
Today I dd'd the diskimage onto a scsi disk, which has worked very
nicely! _But_ , I've hit this last little problem.
Here's the quick rundown of the setup:

5240 w/ extra TC enet card @ TC #2 PMAD PROM
	Seagate 1480N @ 3/rz2/
tip on a Sun to serial #3

At this point the machine just sits there. No more output. I can't
seem to talk to the box at all. ~# from tip does nothing, <ENTER> <CTRL>-L
etc. do nothing.
I've got the manuals here from 5000/200 and have read about the console
osconsole env variables.. not much help for me I'm afraid.

I'm suspicious that the console has been disable or switch to another
I/O channel or something.

Can anyone offer _any_ help? This box is going to make a great
router/firewall w/ the berkeley ipf/nat package.

BTW, does anyone want me to scan and send in the docs from the 5000/200?
I've found them extremely useful for console commands/error messages, etc ..
I have all the maintenance manuals here, and don't mind doing the work.

Sorry for the lengthy post .. ;)

Richard
