As the zgrep command indicates, that's when my logs start. However, I'm
quite sure that the problem started not too long before that, i.e. probably
after 1 July, but I don't a more specific date.

Earlier this year I had some problems with the machine hanging solidly
during early boot requiring power-cycling. The panic: trap problem
definitely started after that problem (I don't indicate a connection between
these problems, just a fixpoint on the timeline). That discussion may
