Try vacuuming out the monitors with a strong vacuum cleaner - it
sounds like they're arcing due to dust.   DO NOT TOUCH THE PICTURE
TUBE OR ANY INTERNAL METAL PARTS - you could get badly, possibly
fatally zapped if you do!
