Nope, the 8530 (and 85C30 and 85C80) all have a 1-byte transmit fifo and a
3-byte receive fifo. The 85230 has a fatter receive fifo at 8 bytes, and
has the ability to interrupt after either 1 or 4 bytes are received. I
think the transmitter's 3 bytes deep.
