Folks,

The current ECOFF kernel in kern.tgz locks up some machines, including
my headless 3100. I've reverted the kernel in kern.tgz to an ELF kernel
which doesn't have these problems.

If you've already downloaded 1.4/pmax and it's working, you don't need
to do anything special. Otherwise, you'll need the new kern.tgz. From
an ftp session to ftp.netbsd.org, it appears as

	-rw-rw-r-- 1 1027 simonb 824385 May 12 05:25 kern.tgz

in the /pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.4/pmax/binary/sets directory.

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Simon.
