I'm installing 1.4_ALPHA on a 5000/125, and while ftp is grabbing the
installation files, each time ftp updates the time left it scrolls down
one line, and over one character. Since it updates every second, on
large files it can become rather bizarre looking. I guess what it looks
like is really happening is instead of returning to the beginning of the
line to draw the line again, it's just appending the new line at the
end of the old line.

Example:
| 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for 'kern.tgz' (811013 bytes).
|   0% |                                  |     0       0.00 KB/s    --:-- ET
|  0% |                                  |  1500       1.38 KB/s    09:31 ETA

||                                  | 18500       2.98 KB/s    04:19 ETA  2%
|                                  | 22500       3.11 KB/s    04:07 ETA  3% |
|                                 | 24500       2.96 KB/s    04:18 ETA  3% |*

I took the default TERM type of rcons, since I was doing this at the
console, should I have chosen something different?
