Excuse me if this subject isn't appropriate to this group, but you
guys seems the most likely to be able to answer it. I've recently
obtained several more Personal DECStation 5000/25's, as well as
a 5000/200 and 5000/240 (it seems I saved them from the dumpster,
although the /240 seems loaded with memory!) I currently own one
VRM17 monitor which I use with one of the DECStations, running
NetBSD. A friend recently lent me a VRT16-HA for an indefinite
period. According to the Personal DECStation manual, this monitor
should work on the 5000/25, but I'm getting nothing but static,
as if it were not running at the right frequency or something.
Should this monitor work with the Maxine? If not, does that indicate
it's not working?
My other question is, what monitor should I use for the /200 or /240.
They have a different connector in the back. Also, are the manuals
for these two computers available anywhere on the web? ( I found the
maxine manual on the Linux for DECStations site.)
Thanks in advance.
Doug
