You want to use it on your DECstation?  You'll need a supported graphics
card then (http://www.NetBSD.ORG/Ports/pmax/models.html#supp-graphics
has a list).  If you want to use it on something else like a PC you'll
either need a fixed-frequency graphics card or a mode-line for XFree86
or similar.
