Hopefully he just wrote a diskimage on the disk and then tried to boot
it with just "boot". But checking the disks and use your skills in
vaccum cleaning could be a Good Thing<tm>. And check memory
configuration if you got the box from someone else. (The one I got
with "128 Mb of RAM" had 10 × 8Mb and some 16 and 4 and 2Mb simms...)
It solves most of the problems.
