Hi again -

Okay I am looking at two sets of install notes, the one listed on the pmax 
port page and also the Ports/pmax/pmax-install.html file.

I have not prepared the disk on the decstation using disklabel as I 
thought that was for an older version/not available for Linux (my helper).

This is as far as I got...

root device: rz3a (I have rz2 200 MB and rz3 116 MB it seems)
dump device (default) rz3b):
file system (default generic):
root on rz3a dumps on rz3b
rz3: WARNING: no disk label
rz3: WARNING: using ULTRIX partition informationroot file system type: ffs
init: not found
panic: no init
syncing disks... done

dumping to dev 1519, offset 67632
dump [..untested..] dumping 4096 pages

rebooting... Argh!

BTW my cnfg gives:

3: KN02-BA DEC V5.7e TCF0 ( 16 MB)
                          (enet: 08-00-2b-27-50-20)
                          (SCSI = 7)
0: PMAG-BA DEC V5.3a TCF0 (CX -- d=8)

Is this all because I haven't disklabled the disk?  And is there a version for ye old Linux?
