OK. I'm back from spring break.  I'm having similar problems
as Kim (internal gcc errors), although I haven't tracked it
down to a temperature dependent thing.  This is on a 5000/200.
I have 3 motherboards.  Today I shall swap them all out, try
the heating and cooling and other basic engineering stuff and
report back.
