Subject: Memory?

I have successfully installed NetBSD pmax 1.3.1 on my DecStation 3100.

However, primes crashes, gcc get internal errors, and gzip often
fail decompressing, and ftp often gives faulty transfer. All sufficiently
big systems fail.

Can it be the memory? I heard about something called "uerf", whatever
that is, and that the memory is errorcorrecting, but netBSD don't use
it?

Is there anything I can do to make my machine usable, or is the
only alternative throwing it away as garbage?
