UVM is a complete redesign of the NetBSD VM system. A good deal of
effort was put forth to reduce e.g. map fragmentation, eliminate
complicated data structures (like object chains), clean up interfaces,
and provide interesting new functionality, like page loanout (useful
for zero-copy <insert subsystem here>).

When Chuck's thesis is finished, I'm sure it will make fine reading.
