i think it would be great if every of the tar-files would have a file with
a date or revision in it.
this file would be place in the root directory.
it would be easier for all of us, seeing what versions we always are
speaking about.
by all my testing of 1.3alpha i found out, that is very easy to mix the
packages from different days.

i suggest something like:

filename "XBASE" contents "compiled at 13.nov at 14:00"

would be easier to compare .
