  No no, I understand that you needa mouse.  I had a mouse plugged in.
What I'm saying is, the ACTUAL MOUSE PORT on the computer is bad.  The
loopback connecter didn't work, and I plugged the hockey puck mouse I had
on the DS3100 into a VS2000 and it worked just fine.
