I beleive the distributed /etc/disktab is correct for _some_ kind
of device sold as an RZ25. The mechanisms inside
drives sold as RZ25s (and thus, their capacity) apparnetly varied.
The disktab entry for an RZ25 says
ns#62:nt#9:nc#1476
and I calculate 62 * 9 * 1476 is 823608. Which is what you're
using; but I'm not sure it's correct.
Can you please send _exactly_ what the NetBSD boot-time attach message
for your drive is, please?
Sample messages for a system with three non-DEC disks is
asc0 at asic0 offset 0x300000 priority 3: target 7
rz0 at asc0 drive 0 slave 0 FUJITSU M2624F-512 rev 0303, 1015812 512 byte blocks
rz1 at asc0 drive 1 slave 0 FUJITSU M2263S-512 rev 0141, 1312344 512 byte blocks
rz2 at asc0 drive 2 slave 0 FUJITSU M2263S-512 rev 0141, 1312344 512 byte blocks
I'm happy to correct the disktab entry, or add another one if there
are multiple different flavours of rz25, and similarly for the
rz58. But to do that, I need someone to send me correct
information: the total size in 512-byte sectors the drive claims,
and the name (including submodel, for RZ25s) of the drive.
thanks
