Hi,

I'm using netbsd-current on a DECstation 5000/240.
When I attach a EXABYTE 8200 to the station and make dumps
I get lots of

asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 16, len 4766, flags 0x12
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 15, len 7986, flags 0x12
asc_resume_dma_out: odd xfer dmalen 9364 len 8001 off 1363
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 15, len 15036, flags 0x12
asc_resume_dma_out: odd xfer dmalen 18724 len 15051 off 3673
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 15, len 15734, flags 0x12
asc_resume_dma_out: odd xfer dmalen 18724 len 15749 off 2975
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 16, len 13720, flags 0x12
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 16, len 5934, flags 0x12
asc: DMA_OUT, fifo resid 15, len 8858, flags 0x12
asc_resume_dma_out: odd xfer dmalen 18724 len 8873 off 9851

(and similiar).
When restoring the dumps the error messages read:

asc_intr: msg in len 3819 (fifo 0)
asc_intr: msg in len 3819 (fifo 0)
asc_intr: msg in len 3817 (fifo 0)
asc_intr: msg in len 3817 (fifo 0)
asc_intr: msg in len 3817 (fifo 0)

(the dump is done in single user - the restore in multi-user).
Otherwise the dumps seems to be OK.
I had used a DAT drive for dumps before without any problems.
When I dump from one of my disks to the other no similiar error messages
are seen.
Any ideas?

TIA,

Andreas (from rainy Germany)
