is someone here running X on a NetBSD/pmax machine ? - if yes how do i do it ?

i have installed the latest NetBSD/pmax snapshot on a decstaion 2100 with mono
frambuffer - i recompiled the kernel (it says 1.2 without the BETA) and tried
arne's Xpmaxmfb from ftp.unit.no:/disk5/pub/NetBSD/arch/pmax/X11R5/ver-5.26
but always then i want to start it i get "pm not found" - so i asked jonathan
- and he said i should use a newer MAKEDEV (it works fine so far - the MAKEDEV
i maen - now it also has an "all" option - fine - only then creating the cd0
device it says "no such device" - but this may be related to only the old scsi
stuff being in my kernel) - in this file stands pm is no longer available for
1.2 - symlinking /dev/fb0 to /dev/pm0 or /dev/pm does'nt help either - so what
do i have to do to make X working under 1.2 on this machine ?

is there any newer X server available ? - someone working on porting the old
framebuffer interface from X11R5 to X11R6 so that also a X11R6 server will
work (or maybe adding the ioctls to the kernel for the ws interface) ?

a lot of thanks in advance

t
