Apologies if I should know the answer to this already ...

I've gotten NetBSD/pmax running on my maxine and have installed Jonathan
Stone's latest snapshot. I grabbed all the source .tar.gz files and
proceeded to build a kernel, starting with the NEWCONF configuration.

That evidently succeeded, with only a couple of minor glitches, giving me
a netbsd.elf file, but then died because elf2aout wasn't there. I looked
through the snapshot and through the sources, and it isn't there, unless
I grossly blew it.

I'd appreciate it if somebody could let me know where to find it ...

AdTHANKSvance.

P. S.: Just FYI, there's a comment in the NEWCONF file about pseudo-
device ether which says "what does it mean?". According to the 4.4BSD
config document, pseudo-device ether is used by ARP on 10Mbps Ethernets.
FWIW.
