mips/elf.h and sys/exec_elf.h have a conflict in that both 

#define ELF_HDR_SIZE

one to sizeof(ehdr)
the other to sizeof(Elf32_Ehdr)

Both structures are the same size so taking -Werror out of
the Makefile allows it to build ok, and boot properly.

Good news is that programs like xinit that had stoppe dworking for me
are now once again ok; nicely done!

Bad news is that ppp still does not connect.
