I'll look forward to it.  I think the problems on the Decstation
5k/1xx (aka 3MIN) are due more to interrupt latency, due to
interrrupts from other drivers, though.

The IOCTL asic has such neat hardware; it'll DMA up to 1 Kbytes
into or out of the SCC in a single operation.  it's so so tempting
to use it to send & recieve PPP frames....
