Hi!

I've run into a problem when trying to boot the snapshot on

<URL:ftp://ftp.unit.no/pub/NetBSD/arch/pmax/binary-1.1>

I tried booting into multiuser mode using his gennetbsd kernel, but I
got a panic (details omitted, but I can supply them if they'd help).

I booted single-user, to see what the problem was, and I think it has
something to do with the filesystem. I was able to panic the kernel
(after mounting all the disks read-write, cleaning up /var/run, and
touching /var/run/utmp) by typing:

mkdir /var/yp

since I wanted to bring up my machine as a YP client.

I seem to recall an earlier notice that some adb commands are required
in order to work around a filesystem bug. Has this bug gone away yet?

If it is just a problem with Arne's kernel, then could anybody else
out there make one of their current kernels available? If not, I'll
try compiling one from supped sources myself (again), and see if that
works any better.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

- --Gord

[on a good note, ps seems to work fine, and everything else is a lot
cleaner... fsck now marks filesystems as clean, too!]
