  I've made my most recent compiles of binutils and gcc snapshots
available for anonymous ftp in ftp.unit.no:/pub/NetBSD/arch/pmax
(get binutils/bu-951021.tar.gz and gcc/g++-951010.tar.gz).  This
g++ worked well enough to build groff at least.  NetBSD's libg++
won't work with it, but libg++-2.7.0a should build mostly OK.
