I had no idea  that the message I sent was going to get Cc:ed
to port-pmax; I thought it was a private reply to the port maintainer.

I apologise, publically, to Theo Deraadt for airing this in public.
That was not, ever, my intention; and I apologise profusely for doing
so.

All I can say is that was entirely inadvertent, I am ashamed
that this appeared in public,  and I apologise, again.
