Well - I got the DEC to eat a Rodime 3000T that my hp300 liked.  It loads 
the bootblock just fine...At least I assume that's what it is

Anyway - It can't seem to find a kernel in the miniroot that I wrote 
right after the bootblock...Am I missing something?
