You can also set DEC drives to spin up on power up.  The procedure
varies depending on the model of the drive; some require software
changes (rzdisk -c ask under Ultrix, I have heard there is another
similair free program available that can do it but I don't recall
the name) or jumpers.  If you send the details, I can provide jumber
locations for those drives that need them.
