 1. Named core dumps. I have submitted a pr bin/11128. This is apparently
    a problem only seen on a.out ports.

 2. pppd. The precise semantics relating to whether authentication
    is required or not seem to have changed. I am still unsure whether
    this is a bug or not. The noauth option is a work around.
