Julian: I tried to reply directly but it bounced.  So to all of you
out there:

Try freefall:/pub/incoming/sutar3.gz.  It is a nice (IMNSHO) layer
on top of the ioctl.  The patches are relative to a very late
freebsd current, and I suspect they work against the final release.
If they don't holler and I'll fix.
