Ok, time for a status report ....

- Last time I tried to use the scsi tape, I got a system level page fault!

- The current kernel won't compile.  I have to check-in a few changes first.

- I have *never* trusted the scsi tape.

- Instead of trying to fix the *OLD* scsi code, I'm working on moving the
pc532 port to use config.new.

- Finally, every kernel I have compiled since around May 20 has "hung"
in a specific way that has some interaction with swapping.  I'm still
using my May 20 kernel when I *Need* to have the kernel stay working.
