[sorry for the duplicate, if I fail to stop the first copy
of this from being sent from the wrong address]

So, it turns out that the pre-alpha snapshot nfs problems were with my
nfs server and not the snapshot. Unfortunately, this delayed me
getting out the alpha snapshot. My machine is currently running the
pre-alpha snapshot and building the beta snapshot, although gcc segv'd
this morning trying to compile something in usr.bin/talk

As you can see, the road is being a bit rocky. I'll re-upload the
pre-alpha snapshot tonight. (I screwed up, I should have just left it
up for ftp when I built it two weeks ago) And hopefully, i'll be able
to get a beta release ready soon. With any luck, whatever sources
are frozen for 1.4 will have been at least booted once by someone other
than me.
