I’ve always found this the easiest route, you just need an AUI MAU (Attachment Unit Interface Media Access Unit) with a 10Base-T transceiver.

There are plenty of small and convenient ones available pretty inexpensively on eBay from CentreCom, Lantronix, HP, and others. For example: <https://www.ebay.com/itm/188444676570> and <https://www.ebay.com/itm/127665963836>, I’d try to see if they’ll take $10-$15. (Alas, the days when these were $2 each from a big box at Weird Stuff are over.)
