It'd have a hack value to design and implement "portable ROM monitor"
:-) to provide a handy set of ROM subcalls and sexy interface helpful
for development cycles. It's a fun to have glueless interface with
NetBSD libsa. Building useful ROM monitor is a real burden to bring
new hardware into market promptly. Larger computer companys have
inhouse design and software assets reusable to new hardware design.
It's sort-a muscle to win in the fast paced buttle field. It's even
possible to make money to implement and sell portable ROM monitor if
it's handsomely realized.
