If anyone is uing the new ld.elf_so on MIPS, you will want to build
and install a new version after the next SUP scan.  Changing the startup
assembly code from non-PIC to PIC resulted in a bug that caused
ps_strings to not get passed to crt0, which causes programs trying to
use ps_strings to crash.  Sorry about that.
