All I can relate to is the booting weirdness, but I don't have NetBSD
booting yet (I can't find the proper command syntax in the firmware as
you seem to have).

I had some problems booting OSX, and if I hit a little reset button on
the motherboard, it would boot. I think this hardware has some
funkiness that isn't present in PCs.
