Take the battery out again, pull the power plug, short circuit the 
battery socket's contacts to drain any capacitors that may still be 
holding some charge, then wait a little longer than 20 minutes. My S900 
took a couple hours to lose its nvram contents so letting it sit like 
that over night should very likely do the trick.
