Yes, the problem is that the PMU gets very annoyed if we try to a=20
non-existant ADB bus.
Please try this kernel:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/macallan/macppc/netbsd_12_10.bz2
It shouldn't have the power down problem anymore.

I also committed a (hopefully working) fix a few minutes ago, please=20
update src/sys/arch/macppc/dev/adb.c and see if the problem goes away.=20=

I can't really test it myself since I have no sufficiently new=20
powerbook.
