I've also been unable to boot the release candidates on a PowerBook 6,8
(12" screen, 1.5Ghz processor). I found several mailing list posts from
back in February[1] that included some suggested workarounds. However,
when I tried to install from both a netbsd-3 and netbsd4 build with the
changes included, I still had no success. With netbsd-4, I get a screen
with a hex dump, which is replaced by another screen with a circle in it
before I can read the dump.

Is there any diagnostic settings in Open Firmware that I can either use
to see the hex dump or display any other information that may help solve
this issue?

Regards,

Chris
