More the other way around - x86 is the exception ( even thought
they're the vast majority ) with the APM BIOS. Almost any non-x86 laptop
will have the same problems, SPARCbooks for instance.

It would be useful for generic suspend-to-disk support we might want at
some point or any mobile device that needs some sort of power
management. No idea how the various hpc* ports handle this.
