indeed, i wasnt using the rebuilt tools:
/usr/src/tooldir.NetBSD-3.0-powerpc/bin/nbconfig DOLLY  <- this now works!
Build directory is ../compile/DOLLY
Don't forget to run "make depend"
cd ../compile/DOLLY
/usr/src/tooldir.NetBSD-3.0-powerpc/bin/nbmake depend <- this makes some
                                                          dependencies.
