Doh. That's about the only one I didn't try - I suspected
Altivec-related fallout from the libc vs. libkern cleanup ( which it may
still be ) but it never occured to me to disable DIAGNOSTIC.
Hmm, since it borks /very/ early this shouldn't be too hard to track
down.
