I have a G3 Blue and White that I am trying to get NetBSD 3.0 to install
onto. The Open Firmware version is 3.1.1 and the BootRom is 1.1f4. I
thought this may be too old, but I read a few forum threads at Apple
that this is the most current for this box.
0 > boot cd:,\ofwboot.xcf netbsd.macppc
this gives me "unrecognized Client Program format"
I read other forums and mailing list threads and people say the bootrom
needs updating. Can some let me know what I am missing?
0 > dir cd:
gives me a list of the OFWBOOT.XCF and NETBSD.MACPPC files on the cd.
I know it can see it and my hard drive.
Thanks in advance,
Dale Offret Jr.
