Hmm, some OpenFirmware versions set up display devices only when
something asks for input. There's a workaround somewhere ( a small
script you put in nvramrc ) though, just google the archives.

I think its because I left the serial appletalk cable stuck in the machine after considering zterm-ing over it to openfirmware.
