 there is a package /sysutils/hfsutils/ I am not sure wether it is
already on the install disk. "$ man hfsutils"  should give sufficent
explaination

# pdisk /dev/wd0c
chose ? to get help on the commands. "p" will print out your partitions
with the numbers in front.
