I think I have enough to go on now, thanks. I could not be more
specific, because the whole thing went over my head. Could also be
because I was trying to do it at 3am. :) I'd only ever installed Linux
on an Apple machine and it pretty much took care of everything for me.
I only had to try pressing random keys a few times... yeah, I know,
stupid. But it worked. :)

I was referring to the 'name' or 'type' in fdisk or whatever it is where
you enter text to identify the partition.
