Hmm, this explains something - the BeOS loader doesn't work on anything newer than 8.5.x, so I had to keep a copy.

Yeah, basically it's a beefed-up 603 with a fast cache bus.
One only needs to look at some RS/6000 models to see how to make fast 604e(v) systems, too bad Apple never did that...
