hi,

> how do I copy a floppy disk to my hard drive?

if you want to make an image of the disk, do

'dd if=/dev/rfd0a of=/path/to/file'

if you want to copy one or more files from the floppy to HD, best is to
mount the floppy [please see 'man mount' for the several options of
mount(8)]

HTH
