Oops, so I got you wrong. Hmm, the 2" bands shouldn't happen, the 
driver should try to use as much of the screen as it can. Maybe the 
Rage LT Pro needs some special handling :/

It exists on some OBPs and in NewWorld OF - my S900 with OF 1.0.5 
doesn't have it, but apparently the code that tries to figure out the 
resolution does the right thing after all - the rest doesn't for some 
reason. I think I'll make a new test kernel later today with a bit more 
debugging output in machfb, it should at least use the whole screen.

btw. the G3's Rage is onboard, isn't it?
