this is an 8600 with the newer ROMs.

hhehehe, my desktop machine starting about, uhm, 7 years ago was a dual headed
workstation (sparc20 back then, then moved to an SGI Octane recently) but i
don't have the Octane here at the moment (nowhere to hid it's extremely loud
fans) so i made the mac my desktop.  knew the name wasn't "right" but went with
it anyway since that's the name i'm used to for my desktop box.  ;)

i'm glad someone picked up on that. ;)
