No, because there's nothing Xmacppc-specific. Xmacppc, Xmac68k,
XDecNet, XFree86 all start up the same way. They are all (by default)
started as /usr/X11R6/bin/X which is just a symlink to the X server
you prefer. You can install XFree and XMacppc side-by-side & change
which you're using on any given invocation by changing that symlink.
As the non-Xfree servers mentioned above have absolutely no
configurable options (none offer mode changes & all take cue from the
framebuffer's state when invoked/booted), there's little to put into
a manpage.

For what you're doing, man startx. It helps to try the manpage of the
actual command you're typing ;-).
You mentioned that you tried ~/.xinitrc...how 'bout posting the
~/.xinitrc file :)
