I have tried the "unlimit datasize" according to=20
"http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation/software/compiling.html#unlimit"
I did progress but still the system(while compiling) hangs all of a=20
sudden.....
(Besides: the "ulimit datasize does not work with the 2.0.5 version of=20=

bash; you have to enter "ulimit -d 999999")

Even tried to do the "pkgsrc" installs from another user than root(to=20
minimise the impact on NetBSD), but still I can provoke the system to a=20=

standstill.....

Manuel: You mentioned in one of your earlier mails something about a=20
hardware failure with the fan....The powersupply fan is broken, but I=20
would "presume" that the problem would arise due to heat-problems, and=20=

this problem can just as well happen 2-3 minutes after system-start....

Is there any program that can test all the RAM-blocks ??

besides this is weird... this 7300 box have running for a number of=20
years in this configuration with MacOS 8-9 without any hiccups at all=20
...
